Michelle & Paulita

7.7.2018

I was so excited to help these beautiful brides document their wedding day after hearing their original photographer fell through. During our first meeting I could already see the love and respect they had for each other.

Upon arriving I fell in love with the simple, classic details decorating their outdoor venue. Red roses everywhere! In the typical, Colorado, summer-fashion, a rain shower came through just 20 minutes before their ceremony. However, all was not lost as minutes before the ceremony the sun came out, and everyone quickly dried off chairs and got into place.

The anticipation was strong as Michelle and Paulita had not seen each other before the ceremony. Tears, big smiles and a few rain drops later these two became one. Even through all the sporadic rain, these two persevered and we managed to sneak away to a sweet little lake for a few photos with the bridal party and the two of them.

Then it was onto the real fun! These two kicked off the evening in style with their first dance. It didn't take long for everyone to follow suit and the party began. Food, drinks, dancing, cake, and of course the bouquet and garter tosses rounded out the evening of fun. Even with all that going on I managed to snag the couple for a few sunset photos with the mountains in the distance.

Thank you Michelle and Paulita for trusting my creative vision, playing along with my silly prompts and inviting Brandon and I to partake in your special day!
